Dr. Olivier Absil is the coordinator of the VORTEX project. He obtained his Ph.D. in Astrophysics in 2006 at the Université de Liège. He is involved in all the activities of the VORTEX team. His main research interests focus on the scientific exploitation of high contrast, high angular resolution instrumentation, including coronagraphy and interferometry. He is particularly interested in exozodiacal dust disks. He is an associate scientist within the JWST/MIRI and EELT/METIS instrument teams.
