Two L-band AGPMs shipped to Caltech for Keck/NIRC2.

“Two L-band Annular Groove Phase Masks have been shipped today to Caltech. They will be installed in their opto-mechanical mount by the end of February, and then shipped to Keck Observatory for integration of NIRC2 in mid-March. The AGPM first light is scheduled for early June. Using two AGPMs side by side in NIRC2 should allow chopping to be performed while keeping the star on the vortex center all the time.”
